Anatomical Services Committee Breakfast Meeting

Anatomical Services Breakfast Meeting

Thursday July 20, 7:30 – 9:00 AM

Open to all attendees!

Lessons Learned is back!  This year we will have presentations on Donor Deaths That Are Not What They Seem.  Several case studies will be presented that highlight various issues around body donation and death reporting.  When does a case need to be reported (or re-reported) to the medical examiner/coroner?  Learn how staff training and protocols can contribute to accurate death reporting and collaborative relationships with local officials.

New this year is an item called “Ask an Expert”.  This meeting is filled with experts on all aspects of body donation.  From technical preparations to consent or mold abatement to policy promulgation or family services to PPE – your colleagues bring untold experiences to the table.  We will use a section of this breakfast to break down several questions and get advice from the room.   We will be documenting these items to create a members-only reference.

This breakfast meeting is also an important opportunity to learn what the ASC does for the AACA or to get involved.  Elections for a new committee member will be conducted.  Subcommittee appointments will also be discussed.  Come to the ASC Breakfast meeting to listen or to be part of the conversation by sharing your experiences.

Do you have a lesson to share or a question for your expert colleagues?  If so, please contact David Conley: or Brandi Schmitt:
