Career Development Committee Breakfast Meeting

Monday, July 9th
7:30 - 9:00 AM

Since generational demographic cohorts share common experiences (economic, historical, social, political) at the same life stages and through similar channels, learners from specific generations may have distinctive preferences in learning resources. At the same time, anatomists are often encouraged to redesign curricula or modify approaches to accommodate the learning needs of students.  Anatomy educators share a lot of common experiences but don’t always have to opportunity to relate these experiences to research based instructional and curricular design. During the Breakfast Meeting, attendees will explore how educators may be able to adapt teaching strategies based on generational cohorts of learners.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

(1) Discuss challenges faced as they facilitate learning for the modern anatomy student

(2) Review current approaches and pedagogical principles of the science of learning in the contemporary learning environment

(3) Explore teaching strategies to better facilitate learning among generational cohorts of learners.
